As a Associate Directors you would be responsible not only for service development and delivery, but also in contributing to the profit and performance of the service line, providing leadership to our growing team of project and programme managers, and participating in client and business development.
You will be …
- Managing the successful delivery of health, life science and/or higher education projects and programmes of varying size and complexity.
- Defining, planning, and implementing the delivery structure, phasing, and resources needed to deliver the required outcomes, to realise the business case and return on investment for our clients.
- Leading, managing, and motivating delivery teams and others working on the project to ensure a clear understanding of outcomes, roles, and responsibilities.
- Leveraging business experience and acumen in identifying strategic alternatives / solutions to client questions.
- Supporting the smooth running of programme/project governance and decision-making, contributing delivery subject matter expertise and context when required.
- Managing the financial performance of commissions, against budget and revenue targets.
- Involved in multiple client relationships at senior level, acting as a key account holder, ensuring client satisfaction, and securing long-term partnerships.
- Leading in the development and management of a specialist team of consultants. Identifying future business leaders, providing guidance and mentorship to junior consultants, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Growing the business, meeting strategic objectives and targets, and contributing to service line net profitability.
- Contributing to the development of thought leadership materials, including white papers, case studies, and presentations to enhance the firm’s reputation in the industry.
- Identifying and proactively pursuing business opportunities and building a pipeline of future work.
- Developing and writing bid proposals and responses to tenders.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- Demonstrable experience in complex project/programme environments, preferably in construction consultancy, health, or life sciences.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and chair at executive board level, advising on complex issues and / or recommendations.
- Substantial experience of engaging with diverse stakeholder groups at all levels of seniority. Ability to translate technical information into easily understandable concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Membership of a chartered institute in the construction industry (e.g. RICS, CIBSE, CIOB, APM or MICE).
- Recognised Project/programme Management qualifications and/or chartership, e.g. APM PMQ, Managing Successful Programmes, NEC PM accreditation, MRICs or ChPP.
- Robust financial management skills and commercial acumen
- Line Management responsibility, supporting a wider team in their ongoing professional development.
- Evidence of networking, business development, bid experience/ management and work winning.
