This role is your chance to contribute to one of the most iconic heritage rehabilitation projects in Canada: the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project in downtown Ottawa. As an Electrical Designer specializing in REVIT MEP 3D modelling, you will help shape modern building systems within a historic national landmark, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary experts in a dynamic, design‑assist environment.
Your Impact
- Collaborate with engineering and design team members to develop and coordinate electrical building systems in REVIT, including low‑voltage distribution, passive telecommunications, security, multimedia, fire alarm/EVAC, and lighting control systems.
- Perform design calculations and prepare detailed technical outputs from design development through to construction documentation.
- Participate in a fully integrated team environment with continuous coordination among electrical, mechanical, architectural, and trade partner groups.
- Prepare and refine electrical drawings for construction packages, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and technical quality.
- Support seamless model integration and clash‑resolution workflows across disciplines.
- Contribute to high‑quality design outputs that support constructability, system reliability, and project delivery excellence.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- A minimum of 2 years of electrical engineering/design experience using REVIT MEP 3D for building systems.
- Working toward P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation in Ontario.
- Strong working knowledge of LV distribution, fire alarm systems, lighting and controls, and passive telecommunications.
- Experience across different delivery models, such as CM, Design‑Build, and P3 (an asset).
- Familiarity with the National Building Code of Canada, Ontario Building Code, LEED v4.0, and applicable ASHRAE and CSA/ULC standards.
- Proficiency with MS Office and demonstrated ability to operate effectively in collaborative, integrated team environments.
- Eligibility to obtain PSPC Reliability security clearance.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $66,700 – $88,400
MB & ON: $60,900 – $83,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $60,900 – $83,800
