As a Senior Risk Assessor, you will play a key role in strengthening WSP’s risk management practice across Canada. You will guide clients through complex challenges, deliver high‑impact assessments, and shape innovative approaches—while mentoring the next generation of risk practitioners. This position is open to candidates located anywhere in Canada.

Your Impact
- Conduct technical risk assessments leveraging HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, MAA, QRA, and related methodologies.
- Support the development of Hazard Risk and Vulnerability Assessments (HRVAs) and Wildfire Strategies.
- Deliver clear, actionable reports that enable clients to mitigate and manage risks effectively.
- Facilitate and coordinate engaging workshops to identify hazards, resolve challenges, and build consensus across multidisciplinary teams.
- Mentor and train junior and intermediate assessors as part of their professional development journey.
- Develop and refine tools, processes, and methodologies that improve risk analysis and reporting.
- Explore innovative approaches—including natural‑language‑driven insights—to enhance how risk information is generated and communicated.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contributing to WSP’s reputation for reliability, expertise, and excellence.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- 5–8 years of experience in risk management, emergency management, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong foundation in risk methodologies including HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, MAA, and quantitative techniques such as fault tree and event tree analysis.
- Experience supporting HRVA development and Wildfire Strategy initiatives.
- Skilled facilitator with experience guiding groups toward shared outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership in training, coaching, and developing others.
- Additional assets: engineering accreditation, PMP designation, geotechnical experience, or business continuity planning knowledge.
- A proactive, innovative mindset with a focus on high‑quality delivery.

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 – $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $94,100 – $124,900
