This is your opportunity to play a hands‑on technical role in shaping Manitoba’s municipal infrastructure. As a Municipal Engineer / Technologist, you will contribute directly to the planning, design, and delivery of water, wastewater, drainage, and roadway systems that support resilient, sustainable communities.
This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and seeing their designs come to life in the field.
Your Impact
- Apply sound engineering judgement to the technical design and delivery of municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure.
- Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical reports in accordance with municipal and provincial standards.
- Support projects through detailed design and construction administration, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct technical analysis and calculations for civil systems, including water distribution, sanitary sewers, stormwater management, and roadworks.
- Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and specialists across regional and national teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Contribute to field reviews, inspections, and coordination with contractors during construction.
- Support knowledge sharing and provide technical guidance to junior staff as part of a collaborative team environment.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or C.E.T. designation, or eligibility to obtain, is considered an asset.
- 5–8 years of hands‑on technical experience in municipal infrastructure design and delivery.
- Strong technical proficiency in water supply, sanitary sewer, stormwater, and roadway design.
- Experience working within Manitoba’s municipal engineering environment, including applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Working knowledge of civil design software and tools used for municipal infrastructure projects.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents with a high level of accuracy.
- Bilingual (French and English) communication skills are an asset.

Compensation:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,900 – $118,900
MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 – $107,700
