Based in Mississauga, Ontario, you will join our Southern Ontario Mine Water Team as a Senior Technical Manager, Water Resources Engineering — a leadership‑in‑practice role where your expertise fuels solutions to some of the most complex hydrologic, surface water, and mine water challenges. You’ll work alongside brilliant colleagues across disciplines, collaborating locally and globally to engineer solutions that protect people, infrastructure, and ecosystems.

Your Impact
- Lead complex mine water and surface water engineering initiatives, shaping safe, resilient, and sustainable outcomes.
- Deliver advanced hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, including flood mitigation, river engineering, and dam breach assessments.
- Provide senior technical review, quality assurance, and thought leadership across multidisciplinary projects.
- Mentor intermediate and junior team members, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
- Drive client engagement, build long‑term relationships, and identify new opportunities.
- Direct project execution, including scope, scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
- Prepare high‑quality technical reports, proposals, and regulatory submissions.
- Support permitting and compliance for mining operations across various jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with national and international teams to share best practices and strengthen WSP’s global water expertise.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with 10+ years of experience in mine water resources, hydrology, river engineering, and related domains.
- Valid professional engineering designation in Ontario.
- Proven leadership capability, including mentoring, technical direction, and project management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience delivering complex hydrologic and hydraulic modelling solutions.
- Excellent client relationship‑building ability, supported by strong industry connections.
- Demonstrated capability in preparing technical reports, proposals, and water‑related permitting documents.
- Fluency in French considered an asset.
- A desire to contribute to a high‑performing, collaborative, and growing team shaping the future of environmental engineering.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $147,500 – $195,400
MB & ON: $134,600 – $184,600
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $133,200 – $176,900
