Graphic Designer / Job Description and Summary
As a member of the Presentation Design Services (PDS) team, the Graphic Designer develops and delivers high-quality visual solutions that enhance the company’s brand and support business objectives. This role is responsible for the creative design, layout, and production of presentations, custom graphics, and other visual collateral. The Graphic Designer partners with clients to understand business needs, translate concepts into effective visual communications, and recommend creative solutions from concept through final delivery. The position also serves as a brand advisor, ensuring all work aligns with established brand standards and compliance requirements.
While collaborating closely with the broader PDS team and another Graphic Designer, this role operates with a high degree of independence and personal ownership. The designer is expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balance competing priorities, and adapt quickly to changing business needs and urgent deadlines. Success in the role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to shift seamlessly between projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and responsiveness.
The Graphic Designer must possess strong communication and reading comprehension skills to accurately interpret client requests, identify gaps or ambiguities in requirements, and ask thoughtful questions when clarification is needed. The role regularly involves consultative discussions with clients and business partners, including recommending alternative approaches when requested solutions are not feasible, practical, or aligned with brand standards. While much of this communication occurs through Outlook and Teams, the ability and willingness to engage in real-time conversations by phone is also important.
In addition to supporting complex and highly creative assignments such as custom templates, graphics, and visual problem-solving initiatives, the Graphic Designer is expected to contribute to other team priorities when business demands shift. This includes supporting less creative but equally important production work as needed to help balance team workloads, maintain service levels, and ensure clients receive timely support. Flexibility, teamwork, and a customer-focused mindset are essential to success in this role.
