Job Description
1. Purpose
A Product manager position in Solutions team, Visa, CISSEE sub-region. Incumbent for this role should be an experienced resource in products, will be responsible for driving consumer product development, sales, pre and post product implementation support and providing project management to different suites of consumer product capabilities (card benefits, consumer value proposition offerings) in Armenia and will be a part of an overall Product team serving CISSEE markets.
2. Principal Responsibilities/Key Results Areas are:
Support and development of the market-wide CVP: this includes identifying ideas, launching initiatives, and providing end-to-end support, from budgeting and payments to issue resolution and promotion. Customization and Resell: leveraging existing benefits and partnerships to offer banks unique or exclusive value propositions. Solutioning: creating tailored concepts or products for specific bank segments, covering the full cycle from identifying needs and ideation to launch and ongoing support.
Support and development of the market-wide CVP:
- Work with Armenian market to develop and maintain comprehensive consumer product strategy which addresses Armenian market / client needs, provides positive competitive differentiation.
- Provide subject matter expertise to drive the CVP, sales process by partnering with other key functions within Visa, as well as supporting the post-sale process including contracts, reporting, billing, and solution/benefit utilization support.
- Gather, consolidate and present product feedback and existing CVP analysis for the purpose of future enhancements and new product offerings in Armenia as market wide or for banks customization.
- Make sound improvements and recommendations, including UX, communication materials, channels in order to create the best possible cardholder’s experience.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders in Armenia market such as the Business Development team, Marketing team and overall CISSEE Solutions teams to understand client and market needs, challenges and influence the changes required to deliver greater product value proposition.
Customization and Solutioning:
- Engagement with banks to gather insights into their specific needs, challenges, and suggestions for CVP enhancing.
- Development of tailored product content for each bank, leveraging both local and cross-border services. This includes managing the full lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation and post-launch support.
- Ongoing market/banks and competitor analysis to ensure the product remains relevant, differentiated and aligned with current trends and customer expectations.
- Cross-functional collaboration with internal teams such as BD, Marketing, VCA, MSA others to ensure seamless product delivery and operational readiness.
- Preparation and delivery of impactful presentations for both internal stakeholders and external partners, clearly communicating product value and strategic direction, including QBRs, RFPs.
- Tracking of project timelines and performance metrics (OKRs) to ensure timely execution and alignment with business objectives (VAS and CIF growth).
- Post-launch product support, including issue resolution and continuous improvement based on user feedback to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Contribution to the strategic planning and evolution of the broader product portfolio, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
3. Strategic Nature, Management. Accountability & Scope
- Contributes to the CISSEE products strategy and leads strategic projects to achieve Products milestones, VAS revenue growth and objectives for Armenia.
- Manages Consumer Products across Armenia as a team contributor and SME.
4. Decision Making & Complexity
- Decisions impact the implementation of Consumer product plans for Armenia
- Helps develop market plans including business and product priorities
- Contributes to the development of consumer products strategy and recommends product improvements
- Mastery in consumer products, applies skills and competencies in challenging situations
- Operates with limited guidance in a matrix organization structure and multicultural environment
- Skillful in managing expectations across internal and external stakeholders
5. Financial & Organizational Scope
- The strategic Product manager’s goal is to implement tools and solutions to achieve VAS revenue growth targets (whether from Card fee or NR from Sales initiatives).
- Armenia product deliverables including revenue and expense targets, performance meeting CISSEE and Functional scorecards.
6. Reporting Relationships & Interactions
- Role is based in Yerevan, Armenia and reports to Product Lead for Georgia and Armenia, based in the Tbilisi Office
- Interacts regularly with staff at all levels throughout the CISSEE hub, Armenia country management, Armenia business development and other functional teams
- This position will involve interaction and communication with Visa stakeholders, including financial institutions, processors, agents, merchants and vendors
- This individual is expected to interact effectively with all levels of Visa management and staff. Strong interpersonal skills will be required to address on-going needs of a complex, matrix reporting structure and multinational organization. Multicultural sensitivity and good interpersonal relationship management skills are essential including the ability to work effectively – both autonomously and as part of a broader team.
Qualifications
Professional
- Bachelor’s degree degree.
- Strong Armenian market knowledge.
- 5-7 years of experience in areas of Product Management, Loyalty/Rewards, Analytics, Card Products & Payments
- Proven execution experience in a product management capacity, including product development and launch and/or managing loyalty/reward programs and/or consumer propositions in financial services/retail banking/ payments arena
- Product management skills (knowledge of product lifecycle, development and implementation frameworks etc.)
- Strong Project Management and experience with Agile development
- Strong analytical skills and data driven aptitude
- Systems thinking and understanding of software development process, including API driven solutions and web services technology
- Strong knowledge of marketing, product management and portfolio management principles in financial services/retail banking/ payments arena
Technical & Business
- Proficient user of all Microsoft Office products
- Strong presentation skill is necessary including proficiency in using MS PowerPoint
- Armenian and English languages, Russian speakers preferred
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Proven track record of successful plan execution in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to execute independently and operate successfully within a matrix/team environment
- Ability to interact effectively with external partners that include vendors, clients, government regulators
- Ability and willingness to travel
