Role Summary

This role manages and leads technical support staff across multiple disciplines who provide technical support for the design and building of solutions. Provides leadership in designing, developing, and implementing solutions to support the business according to standards and policies. This role is also responsible for developing and implementing scalable software platforms, creating product roadmaps, and defining technical requirements to meet global end-user needs.

Responsibilities
1. Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
2. Oversees the planning and implementation of enterprise-wide platform projects, including schedule, resources and communication of project status. Anticipates current and future needs of the organization and makes recommendations regarding project scope, schedule and budget. Manages the resolution of the most complex availability and incident management issues elevated from staff and clients.
3. Leads and oversees technical support staff who implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and install platforms across all systems, ensuring defined business service levels are met. Plans, develops, and executes short and long range goals and strategies to meet department, divisional, and corporate objectives. Recommends and approves changes/enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability and performance.
4. Manages and delivers on complex infrastructure projects. Evaluates alternatives for modifications to systems and implements solutions that meet long-term business objectives and current organizational requirements. Establishes, communicates and drives continuous improvement of key performance, quality and client satisfaction metrics.
5. Plans and implements new technologies and major releases for the most critical enterprise-wide IT platform projects. Leads teams that troubleshoot, configure, and tune systems.
6. Provides thought leadership and develops technical standards to serve Vanguard technical needs. Manages the evaluation, selection and ongoing performance of IT vendor products and services. Represents Vanguard externally at technology industry events and vendor strategic planning sessions.
7. Learns and understands client area business functions and requirements. Determines the appropriate technical tools to address the client's business needs.
8. Develops and maintains expertise and awareness of industry trends and technologies; making timely adjustments to strategies as appropriate.
9. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
10. Defines technical requirements and creates a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with platform development goals.
11. Designs and implements scalable, cross-domain software platform architectures to support diverse enterprise applications.
12. Provides detailed technical documentation and guidance to ensure proper integration and long-term support of platform capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 12 years of experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise platform engineering, or system architecture roles; supervisory experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in relevant fields such as Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering, or a Master’s degree/Diploma in Computer Science
• Expertise in IT infrastructure leadership, platform architecture, project management, vendor coordination, scalable software systems, and enterprise-grade platform technologies
• Strong expertise in software platform development, including designing, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Experience defining product roadmaps, technical requirements, and platform architecture.
• Proficiency in software programming languages and database technologies. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams and large-scale platform projects.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to drive technical innovation and strategic decision-making.

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard’s India office. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
