Conference and Event Planning (CEP) has an exciting opportunity for an Event Planner who can support world class event experiences varying in goals, size, and audience. To be successful in this role we are looking for event planning experience and/or project management experience. Strong organizational skills are required.
This role requires an ability to drive outcomes and to cultivate differences by welcoming diverse perspectives and solutions in a fast-paced environment. This person should exude a growth mindset, be proactive and a strong team player.

Core Responsibilities
Delivers conference and event planning services of medium complexity and/or provides support for assigned sections of a larger, more complex initiative.
Coordinates and executes a variety of assigned and unassigned tasks to plan, schedule, coordinate, and manage meeting and event logistics. Assists decision makers in planning and troubleshooting pre-event, day-of event, and post-event. Tracks event budget and discusses with event sponsors and managers as budgetary concerns arise.
Supports presenters through on-site and virtual support. Tracks and communicates post-event reporting and follow-up activities to appropriate parties. Gathers pre- and post-event data for analysis. Helps inform future business decisions using data reports, anecdotes, and industry best practices as appropriate.
Delivers clear, timely, and accurate communications. Seeks to align event planning activities with business objectives and/or marketing plans.
Fosters effective communication and partnership with external partners. Liaises between internal and external partners as needed.
Ensures Vanguard protocol is followed throughout any administrative or logistical activities. Surfaces issues to appropriate parties proactively.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years related work experience.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Additional information
This role includes travel up to~30% to support on-site events.
This role is based in PA only.
