Role Purpose
This is a dual-market leadership role responsible for shaping and driving operator growth, digital demand generation, trade marketing strategy, and integrated marketing leadership across UFS Malaysia and Singapore.
In Malaysia, the role leads the Operator Experience (OX), Digital, and Trade agenda, with a strong emphasis on strategic direction, governance, and growth steering. In Singapore, the role serves as a Marketing Lead, driving integrated marketing plans aligned with business priorities. Internal role and CV materials support the Malaysia OX/Digital/Trade scope and Singapore marketing leadership. The role also includes oversight of BMI and TTS-related planning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Omnichannel Operator Experience (OX) & Growth Strategy
Identify new opportunities across channels, operators, and market dynamics
Define operator segmentation and growth frameworks by priority segments
Translate insights into scalable propositions, campaigns, and engagement models
Design structured operator journey architecture for lead generation, engagement, and conversion
Define key use cases across media, CRM, and Martech ecosystem
Set direction for campaigns and ensure alignment to commercial priorities
2. Trade Strategy & Investment Governance
Define and lead trade marketing strategy, aligned with category, brand, and commercial priorities
Identify key commercial growth levers (promotions, outlet incentives, visibility drivers)
Set clear frameworks, guardrails, and KPIs for execution teams
Partner sales leadership to ensure strong in-market execution outcomes
3. Digital Transformation
Lead transformation roadmap across MarTech, data, and operator platforms
Drive scalable, tech-enabled operator engagement and demand models
4. Singapore Marketing Leadership
Lead integrated marketing planning and delivery for UFS Singapore, including campaign development, go-to-market execution, and category/commercial alignment.
Drive alignment across brand, category, and commercial priorities
Ensure strong delivery of campaigns, innovation launches, and activations
Own marketing contribution to IBP (annual plan) and growth planning
5. Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead and coach a high-performing OX, digital, and marketing team
Empower team to deliver strong execution independently
Build capabilities in data, analytics, and commercial excellence
6. Performance Governance & Growth Steering
Define KPIs across trade, digital, and operator metrics
Lead performance reviews, optimization loops, and business steering
Translate analytics into strategic actions and course correction
7. Budget & Investment Stewardship
Own end-to-end BMI (Brand Marketing Investment) and TTS (Trade Terms Spend), by leading budget planning, allocation, and prioritisation aligned to growth drivers
Ensure disciplined ROI tracking, optimization, and reallocation of investments
Establish governance to ensure efficient and compliant spend management
8. Cross-Functional & Team Leadership
Align MY & SG markets on growth priorities, frameworks, and best practices
Act as strategic bridge across Sales, Marketing, and Business Excellence teams
Influence senior stakeholders on resource allocation and commercial focus
Key Outcomes (Success Measures)
Delivery of market growth targets across MY & SG
Energised high-performing teams with clear accountability and execution excellence
Increased digital contribution to pipeline and conversion
Strong ROI on BMI and TTS investments
Improved trade effectiveness and commercial productivity
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Strong experience( 7 to 10 years) in marketing, trade marketing, operator/shopper marketing, or commercial marketing, some foodservice, B2B experience would be preferred but not critical
Strong commercial acumen, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to convert insights into action.
Demonstrated ability in driving technology and transformation projects would be preferred.
Proven experience working cross-functionally with sales and commercial teams.
Strong stakeholder, agency, and performance management skills.
Ability to operate across strategic planning, demand generation, and investment governance in a fast-moving environment.
