About the Role
We are looking for a Material Planner Coordinator to join the Monterrey Network Planning team. This role is critical to ensuring the uninterrupted supply of raw and packaging materials across our production lines, enabling us to deliver against our service, cost, and operational excellence targets.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing supply risks, optimizing inventory, and strengthening cross-functional alignment across Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and Production Planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure material availability on time and in full to meet production plans and avoid line stoppages
- Convert production plans into material requirements (MRP execution) and manage supply coverage
- Identify, manage, and escalate material shortages and supply risks proactively
- Maintain and optimize inventory parameters (safety stock, reorder points, lead times)
- Coordinate closely with Procurement and suppliers to ensure delivery reliability and recovery plans
- Track and manage open purchase orders, delays, and inbound materials
- Work with Warehouse, Logistics, and Import/Export teams to ensure smooth material flow and customs clearance
- Ensure compliance and follow-up of imported materials documentation and timelines
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes and data accuracy
- Prepare and communicate material risk reports and KPIs to stakeholders and leadership
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in:
- Material Planning / Supply Planning / Production Planning
- Manufacturing environment (FMCG preferred)
- Experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MRP processes
- Exposure to supplier coordination and inventory management
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Proactive mindset with strong risk identification and escalation discipline
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
- Strong communication skills (clear, structured, and executive-ready)
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI is a plus
Additional Qualifications (Preferred)
- Knowledge of import/export and customs processes
- Experience in inventory optimization and supply risk management
