2nd Shift Tool & Die Technician/Machinist to support Lynn Haven’s Preventative Maintenance of Fin Stamping Dies, Sheet Metal Trim/Punch/Form Dies as well as support Project Tooling/Fixture Requests. Flexible Work Schedule as needed and Over Time as needed.
What you will do:
Perform Preventative Maintenance Tasks on All dies – Including Fabricating Shims, Sharpening Critical Die Details and Polishing
Fabricate/Machine Critical Die Detail Replacements to OEM Prints/Specifications
Fabricate/Machine Precision Fixtures/Jigs to Support Manufacturing Process as Needed
Fabricate/Machine Precision Parts for Machinery Repairs as Needed
Fabricate/Machine Precision Parts for New Product Development as Needed
Die/Press Trouble Shooting Skills for Problem Resolution
What you will bring:
Proficient in the use of Machining Equipment such as CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Manual Mill, Manual Lathe, Surface Grinder, Heat Treat Oven and Optical Comparator
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD for Part Development as well as Modifications to Existing Dies/Parts
Proficient in Blue Print Reading
Proficient in the use of Precision Measuring Devices such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Depth Gauges, etc.
Proficient in Bore/Ream Holes, Schedule/Perform Heat Treatments, Grind Edges/Flats, Mill Slots/Pockets/Keyways
Proficient in Indicating Object – Die Alignment
Proficient in Machine Guarding including LOTO Procedures
Participate & Contribute in Continuous Improvement Activities
High School Diploma or GED Required
10 yrs. Tool & Die/Machinist Experience Required
G Code Programming Required
Basic Welding Skills a Plus
Certified Machinist Preferred
