Position summaryPosition duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyze code coverage using industry standard tools such as SonarQube.
Oversee automated tests integration into the Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
Design and author test cases for unit, functional, performance, scalability, and durability testing where applicable.
Manage and groom the automated and manual test suites regularly to ensure proper balance between coverage and fast feedback cycles.
Work with IT partner teams to provide test data by request, creation, or modification for all phases of the delivery process via a repeatable and automated process.
Grow and maintain technical skills and expertise through continuing education and training.
Practice leadership, modeling, and coaching.
Additionally, provide internal training on relevant skills and tools that support Continuous Testing.
Contribute to Test Community of Practice to evolve testing practices, quality standards and tools.
Lead defect management.
Interface with external teams on test strategy and ensure alignment to test execution.
Influence and drive quality across teams, discipline, and the organization.
Grow and maintain technical skills and expertise through continuing education and training.
Test systems including requirements gathering.
Ensure requirements and/or user stories are testable.
Clarify any ambiguity with requirements, user stories, design and other artifacts produced as part of the product lifecycle.
Provide estimate for user stories and tasks.
Direct testability of requirements and/or user stories.
Lead and provide input to all test activities.
Closely coordinate with both Dev and Ops regarding testing practices and ensure quality thresholds are met.
Contribute to design, design reviews and code reviews.
Telecommuting is permitted, but applicant must work from the worksite location at least 3-4 days per week.
No additional national or international travel is anticipated.
Skill requirements:
(1) Developing and maintaining automation frameworks (Tosca, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) for RESTful services, APIs, and UI testing using Java, Python and Powershell scripting; integrating with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) to streamline regression and integration testing;
(2) Executing system integration, user acceptance, regression testing using automation solutions and data integrity testing using Tosca DI ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) solutions with Oracle SQL Developer tool, strong defect triage, RCA, and test data management skills;
(3) Delivering or supporting automation projects from requirements through release, translating business needs into testable components, providing LOE estimates, and leading demos and feedback cycles with customers;
(4) Providing mentorship and technical oversighting to other SDETs & team members, conducting code reviews, implementing automation standards, and collaborating enterprise-wide to drive quality engineering practices and resource planning;
(5) Appling Agile and Waterfall methodologies with established gating criteria, leveraging tools such as JIRA, qTest, and TestRail to ensure traceability, readiness, and quality across the SDLC. Reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBi; and
(6) Understanding of SDLC, embedding QA within CI/CD pipelines, partnering with DevOps and product teams to enforce quality gates, and championing shift-left testing practices for early defect prevention.
Experience and education requirements:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field or its foreign equivalent, and 3 years of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field or its foreign equivalent, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
