Requirements:
Strong understanding of quantitative financial models, including valuation models, discounted cash flow models, derivatives pricing models, front office option pricing models, Treasury non- trading market risk models, credit risk models, portfolio risk and performance models, Financial Crime Risk Models (AML/BSA) and Fraud Models, etc.
Strong knowledge of statistical and quantitative techniques, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, probability theory, time series analysis, stochastic processes, simulation techniques, model performance measurement, and model monitoring. Experience assessing AI-specific risks with practical experience in reviewing Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI (GenAI), and/or Agentic AI models.
Experience evaluating model assumptions, data quality, feature engineering, model limitations, model performance, model governance, explainability, fairness, robustness, and ongoing monitoring.
Experience with one or more programming languages or analytical platforms such as Python, SQL, SAS, R, Matlab, VBA, or similar quantitative technologies.
Experience with model implementation, model deployment, model lifecycle management, or production model environments is an asset.
Knowledge of model risk management frameworks, regulatory expectations, and industry standards, such as SR 26-2, Basel, CCAR, CECL/IFRS 9, and AI governance frameworks, is preferred.
Experience conducting model audits, model validations, or independent reviews within financial institutions or consulting firms is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex quantitative and AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience coaching or mentoring team members and contributing to the development of audit methodologies and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead or support moderately complex audit engagements and cross-functional initiatives.
5+ years of relevant experience in quantitative areas
