Job Description:
CUSTOMER
Conduct regular, ongoing analysis, evaluation and review of business performance and initiatives against established reference points (e.g., plan, prior year, business cases) as directed
Provide advice and guidance to Finance Management and/or business partners and appropriate stakeholders on a range of finance accounting / reporting or operational processes
Apply understanding of respective business strategies to produce relevant and meaningful data analysis and materials to support the creation and maturation of business goals and objectives
Develop analysis and proper dashboards to illustrate business trends and identify areas of business opportunities
Coordinate and/or consolidate financial information needs / requests among various parties (e.g. business Finance Teams, other stakeholders, external parties / regulators / auditors and/or centralized Finance
Act as a key resource to the business or functional unit by providing relevant and meaningful financial information / data / guidance on specialized procedures and/or issues (e.g. tax, accounting principles, reconciliation / reporting / financial controls / finance processes etc.)
Identify variances and contribute to the analysis, due diligence and execution and/or implementation of potential initiatives, acquisitions and/or business re-structures within defined area of responsibility
Contribute and work with FinOps or Specialized Finance teams to provide input and feedback on enhancing operational activities s (e.g. report production, system queries, process mapping, specialized tracking, analysis and transactional procedural support) where appropriate
SHAREHOLDER
Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for our business area
Ensure respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business priorities
Identify and investigate data/analytics related issues
Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate
Ensure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)
Participate in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives helping to identify risk
Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development/ delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audience
Conduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/ policies/ practices
Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exist
Support the execution of remediation plans to address performance / risk /governance issues
Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements
Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements
Maintain a culture of risk based management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

BREADTH & DEPTH:
Experienced working professional role providing specialized business services, advisory or processes / program support within their own area of specialty
Identifies and investigates non-standard financial accounting and/or operational / reporting issues
Conducts regular financial analysis / reporting to support business partner, functional Finance areas or centres of expertise
Requires working knowledge of the finance function and/or the key business areas supported
Moderate level of complexity in analysis / reporting or operational function requiring a short to medium term focus by taking a new perspective on existing solutions
May operate as a working lead on finance initiatives as assigned
Accountable for own work and sometimes others; acts as an escalation point or knowledge resource for others in their own area
Leads projects or work streams within broader projects with moderate risk and may be accountable for managing ongoing activities, processes and functional programs
Works within broad guidelines / policies and independently performs tasks from end to end
Conveys business context when providing guidance within field of specialty to internal or external stakeholders
Work performed under minimal management guidance and supervision
Generally reports to a Manager role
EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree
3+ years relevant experience
Work activities include a blend of highly collaborative activities and individual deliverables. Individuals are expected to be onsite 4 days a week. Colleagues may spend more or less days in office as required by the business line.
