About the Role
As the Lead for Alpha Data Integration, you will play a pivotal role in defining integration solutions, establishing scalable design patterns, driving standardization, and leading engineering execution. This role will also champion the effective use of AI to improve development productivity, code quality, and deployment efficiency. You will be responsible for designing and delivering robust data solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and the broader Alpha platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable data integration solutions for the Alpha Data Platform.
Client Engagement: Partner with client management and implementation teams to understand client-specific requirements and design standardized, reusable integration solutions.
Workflow Automation: Analyze end-to-end client workflows and define optimized orchestration patterns for integration processing.
Data Integration: Apply deep knowledge of the Alpha platform and data integration techniques to identify risks, evaluate options, and provide informed recommendations for custom integration requirements.
Product Management: Collaborate with product owners to refine requirements and oversee execution from initial design through implementation and ongoing support.
Product Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on the Alpha Data Platform, its capabilities, and its role within the broader Alpha ecosystem.
Product Development: Identify product gaps impacting implementation speed, supportability, and operational efficiency; partner with product and engineering teams to define and deliver enhancements.
Technology Leadership: Drive adoption of AI-enabled development practices and improve efficiency across code development, code reviews, CI/CD, and the broader SDLC.
Experience/Skills:
16+ years of hands-on experience in data integration, orchestration services, data architecture, solution design, development, and implementation, with a track record of delivering data-driven solutions for client interfaces.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, or similar platforms.
Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake or other cloud database platforms.
Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
Experience with Qlik Replicate and Compose tools for change data capture (CDC) is a plus.
Exposure to third-party data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, MSCI, and rating agencies is a plus.
Experience leading engineering teams and driving execution across complex enterprise data integration initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another technical discipline required; Master’s degree preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven track record of designing and implementing complex data solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with industry-standard database and ETL tools.
Exposure to financial services domain concepts such as asset servicing, portfolio management, order management, performance, and custody is a plus.
