The Finance Data and AI Office (DART) is responsible for providing high quality data products and data services to stakeholders in Finance, Risk and Treasury. This role directly supports the Risk, Finance and Treasury Data Repositories and data related projects in the financial services domain including regulatory requirements and Finance transformation. This role supports our commitment to maintaining strong financial controls, meeting regulatory expectations, and enabling the business with reliable, trusted data. This position provides an excellent opportunity to interact with different business areas within the bank: from front to back office.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a hands-on data-focused Business Analyst with a strong analytical mindset and understanding of financial data. This is a role for someone who is comfortable working directly with data — not just documenting requirements — and who can investigate issues, challenge outputs, and drive resolution.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to operate in a control-driven environment, while also identifying opportunities to improve and automate processes, including leveraging AI-driven capabilities.
Your new role:
As part of the DART Data Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality data delivery for regulatory reporting by actively analysing datasets, investigating breaks, and supporting remediation.
You will work closely with upstream data providers, technology teams, and downstream reporting consumers to understand issues, resolve data discrepancies, and improve data quality processes.
This role also includes a strong focus on process optimisation and automation, including applying modern tools and AI-supported approaches to reduce manual effort and improve scalability.
As Officer Data Quality Business Analyst you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse large datasets to identify data quality issues impacting regulatory reporting
- Investigate breaks, exceptions, and reconciliation differences across data sources
- Perform and support reconciliations, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
- Execute, monitor, and enhance data quality controls and checks
- Support and track remediation of data quality issues with business and technology teams
- Perform and validate manual adjustments where required, ensuring full transparency and control
- Contribute to the delivery of accurate, complete, and timely data for regulatory reporting
- Maintain relevant documentation (e.g., SOPs, data definitions, control descriptions, lineage where applicable)
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation, and automation
- Support implementation of automation solutions (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, workflow tools)
AI & Automation focus:
- Identify use cases where AI/automation can reduce manual investigation or improve anomaly detection
- Support development of AI-driven data quality checks and reconciliation enhancements
- Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis and pattern identification in datasets
- Critically assess and validate AI outputs to ensure accuracy and alignment with regulatory expectations
- Provide clear status updates and ensure transparency on issues, risks, and progress
Skills and experience needed:
• 4–6 years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or data operations
• Strong hands-on experience working with data (SQL, datasets, reconciliations, controls)
• Experience in data quality management and issue investigation
• Understanding of regulatory reporting environment (Finance, Risk, Treasury)
• Knowledge of data governance and control frameworks (e.g. BCBS239)
• Experience with tools such as:
- SQL
- Alteryx / Power BI / Tableau
- Excel (advanced level)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to independently investigate issues and drive resolution
• Proactive and accountable mindset
• Fluent English

Minimum Salary:
zł132,000 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
