Who we are looking for
We are looking for an Application Development Team Leader for an Azure and Snowflake based application supporting Recon development and production support. This role is ideal for a technically strong and people-focused leader who can guide a high-impact development team while remaining hands-on in development and troubleshooting activities.
As an offshore team leader, you will play a key role in driving delivery quality, team collaboration, and communication across global teams. You should be comfortable balancing hands-on engineering leadership with stakeholder coordination across onsite and offshore teams.
Why this role is important to us
This application area is critical and requires reliable reconciliation capabilities, continuous enhancements, and stable production support. This role is essential to ensure successful execution of development priorities, timely issue resolution, and strong alignment between business expectations and technical outcomes.
You will help bridge communication between onsite DEV/BA teams and offshore DEV/QA teams while ensuring the team delivers secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
What you will be responsible for
As an Application Development Team Leader, you will be:
- Leading the application development team across Recon development and support activities
- Coordinating with onsite DEV and BA teams to clarify requirements, priorities, and delivery timelines
- Partnering with offshore DEV and QA teams to plan sprints, manage dependencies, and ensure quality releases
- Actively participating in development, code implementation, and design reviews for critical deliverables
- Driving solution design and development using Snowflake, Java, and Cosmos DB (JSON)
- Ensuring adherence to SDLC best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, release governance, and production readiness
- Managing incident triage, root-cause analysis, and production support for business-critical reconciliation workflows
- Leading troubleshooting efforts for production issues and driving timely resolution with onsite and offshore teams
- Tracking delivery progress, risks, and blockers, and communicating status clearly to stakeholders
- Using GitHub and Harness to support version control, CI/CD, and deployment processes
- Maintaining technical documentation and operational runbooks for development and support activities
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role:
- Strong leadership and communication skills in a distributed onsite-offshore delivery model
- Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written) with the ability to coordinate effectively across onsite and offshore teams
- Hands-on technical depth in Snowflake, Java, and JSON-based data processing
- Experience in Azure based application development and support environments
- Ability to manage both project delivery and live production support with high accountability
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with DEV, BA, and QA stakeholders
- Ownership mindset with a focus on quality, risk awareness, and operational excellence
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
- Relevant experience in application development leadership, preferably in financial services or data-intensive platforms
- Practical experience with Snowflake, Java, and Cosmos DB (JSON)
- Experience with GitHub and Harness for source control and CI/CD workflows
- Experience with other ETL tools (such as ETL Kettle) is a plus
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle practices, including code quality, testing, and release management
