The Managing Director, Head of APAC Multi class agency execution trading is responsible for our dealing desks in Hong Kong and Sydney where we deal as agent in equities, fixed income and exchange traded derivatives. The role is a key member of the Portfolio Solutions global trading team, serving as a talent allocator, player/coach, workflow designer/implementation overseer, and regulatory compliance supervisor on behalf of the firm’s Partnered trading clients. The role will encompass all APAC regional multi asset execution duties on behalf of the firm’s global clients with some.

What you will be responsible for
As Managing Director, Head of APAC multi asset class execution trading you will
Responsible for all talent management and staffing functions across the firms existing locations in Hong Kong and Sydney who execute securities and derivatives trades in accordance with agreed upon instructions from the firm’s Partnered Trading client base
Maintenance and oversight of the firm’s extensive multi asset class counterparty roster (both internal and external) and technology relationships, including continual evaluation and design/redesign of the firm’s workflow to improve efficiencies and minimize operational incidents
Ownership of regional best execution responsibilities and counterparty execution quality analysis
Understand, comply and implement necessary regulatory responsibilities for themselves and entire trading teams
Collaborate with other regional trading desks in EMEA and the Americas and the global head of trading to accomplish global strategic initiatives
Education & Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of Capital Markets experience across multiple asset classes, concentrated on execution trading, regulatory compliance and middle office processes
Hold or are willing to attain US FINRA Series 3, 7, 24, 57, 63
Bloomberg and ION Fidessa proficiency preferred with experience with various trade cost analysis constructs and vendors
Flexible hours, including holidays and non APAC hours, as required
BS/BA degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Firm understanding of global equities, fixed income securities and exchange traded derivatives markets with a concentration in the APAC region, demonstrated competency with best execution standards within those markets mentioned above
Ability to multitask in a fast paced, market-driven trading floor environment under the stress of high volume and tight deadlines
Ability to diagnose, recommend, resolve and implement process improvements
Ability to service across various product lines, ensuring compliance to industry rules and regulations and multiple market conventions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to easily and comfortably communicate with internal and external clients on trade mandates and instructions
