Operational Risk - International Capital - AVP

The AVP, Operational Risk – International Capital, will contribute to the advancement of a global coordination and oversight program for the ICAAP/ICARA economic capital and risk assessments program to ensure operational risk capital at the legal entities level is synchronized and right-sized relative to the parent company. The role holder will have the opportunity to develop as a senior subject matter expert for Operational Risk Capital Scenario workshops and modelling. The role holder will also contribute to the development and execution of an operational risk internal stress testing program in partnership with Global Treasury Risk Management, and a Business Line Scenario Analysis program.
The role will report directly to the Managing Director, Head of Operational Risk Capital and Stress Testing, and Scenario Analysis. This role sits within the Operational Risk Foundational Programs team. This team is part of the second line of defense within Enterprise Risk Management.
The role is global in nature and will require excellent communication, negotiation and partnership skills in order to influence a wide variety of stakeholders.
What you will be responsible for
- Play a leading role in enhancing a global coordination and oversight program for ICAAP / ICARA economic capital
- Updating and enhancing ICAAP / ICARA scenario analysis methodologies, and training materials for scenario analysis workshop facilitators and participants
- Assist ICAAP / ICARA scenario analysis workshop facilitators in the delivery of training to workshop participants
- Participate in and contribute to Legal Entity Capital scenario analysis workshops supporting ICAAP and ICARA
- Assist with the Review and Challenge of Legal Entity scenario quantifications
- Assume Model Owner responsibilities for all operational risk models that support the ICAAP / ICARA capital estimation process, in line with Model Risk Management requirements
- Facilitate the delivery of data to ICAAP / ICARA model users to enable operational risk capital measurement
- Support Model Risk Management and Corporate Audit reviews of ICAAP / ICARA models and results
- Contribute to other team priorities, including but not limited to the annual CCAR stress test

Education and Preferred Qualifications:
- Equivalent to a university degree in finance, business, accounting or related field; advanced degrees and professional certifications valued; equivalent to a CPA certification highly valued
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in financial services; operational risk / Finance focus preferred
- Subject matter expertise in operational risk and related modeling concepts
Minimum Salary:
zł182,004 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
