This role is critical to the successful delivery of client onboarding through the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of applications within Business Onboarding and Transitions (BOaT). Reporting to the Senior Fund Administration Manager – BoaT (AVP), the Officer is responsible for ensuring that tools supporting the opening and maintenance of client accounts at State Street remain aligned with current business process requirements, while also driving increased operational efficiency.

Your new role
As Application Development and Maintenance Manager - BOaT EMEA, Officer you will:
Build, design, and maintain technology solutions predominantly in MS Access, MS Excel, and Visual Studio to improve efficiency and reduce risk for onboarding operations.
Assist in maintaining the Business Onboarding and Transitions (“BOaT”) Sharepoint site to facilitate information publication and provide an effective user experience.
Work with global BOaT Accounting Platform and System Set-Up (“APSS”) personnel to draft specifications for enhancements to tools.
Partner with other BOaT technology staff to build technology project plans and determine ownership of enhancement components.
Address system bugs as they arise.
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role:
Minimum 5 years experience in:
Designing database solutions within MS Access
Programming with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) or VB.NET
Leveraging MS Visual Studio to design/maintain ASPs for intranet/internet tools
Utilizing advanced features of MS Excel (VBA, data manipulation, reporting)
Writing SQL statements for MS SQL Server Management Studio
Familiarity with Python programming helpful
Ability to comfortably interact with teams in Poland, USA, and India to draft specifications and/or understand technology challenges for daily operations.
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree with a focus on business and programming areas
At least 5 years of relevant experience in the financial or IT industry, preferably within on-boarding and/or programming.
Good command of written and verbal English language.
Minimum Salary:
zł132,000 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
