The opportunity | Ko te āheinga We are seeking a motivated and high performing leader to take our Tauranga business to the next level. We need a leader who is authentic, understands the infrastructure market and is able to build trust and rapport with the team in Tauranga. A leader who will deliver both a strong and inclusive team culture whilst also striving for growth and success. Key aspects of the role include:
- Grow the Transportation business (both public and private sector) in the Bay of Plenty region.
- Integrate with your cohort of Transportation Leaders around our other Aotearoa offices.
- Deliver local and national technical project work within your technical discipline e.g. Geotechnical engineering, Structural engineering or Contract management.
- Build a strong and inclusive team culture.
- Coach and develop your team to reach their full potential.
- Build strong and enduring relationships with existing and new clients to strengthen Stantec’s presence in the local, and wider regional, market.
- Work closely with our key partners in the Bay of Plenty region and beyond.
- Provide technical and commercial leadership to the Tauranga transportation team.

Qualifications About you | E pā ana ki a koe You will be a technical leader or a star performer ready to step into people and business leadership with a passion to drive growth. You will have deep understanding of the infrastructure market with prior experience delivering projects in the public or private sectors. You will bring your sound local knowledge to the role, alongside an interest and ability to engage with your cohort of Transport Leaders around Aotearoa. More importantly, you will hold both technical and leadership capabilities which will add strength to our current offering. In addition, you will be an authentic leader who builds trust and leads from the front – you will understand that building a strong team culture delivers long term success. Your technical background in Contract Management, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering is of significant benefit. Our works span the lifecycle of projects and as such capabilities in any of planning, design and delivery or construction management are of equal value.
