Electrical Engineer - Water Sector

We're looking for an

Electrical Engineer to join our growing team inGlasgow or Edinburgh . Working alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to projects from concept through to construction, developing your technical expertise while working on infrastructure that has a lasting impact on communities and the environment. As an Electrical Engineer, you'll support the delivery of electrical and EICA designs across a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with electrical and EICA design from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
• Producing electrical calculations, Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams and Network Infrastructure Diagrams.
• Supporting the development of technical specifications, control philosophies and equipment schedules.
• Working collaboratively with project managers, clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participating in design reviews, technical workshops and site visits.
• Continuing to develop your technical knowledge through mentoring and structured career development.

ABOUT YOU Essential

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in electrical engineering design within water, infrastructure, utilities or industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and design standards.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development.

Desirable

• Working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
• Experience with EICA design and documentation.
• Knowledge of DSEAR requirements.
• Experience within the UK water sector.
