At SimCorp, we support some of the largest financial institutions in the world to be successful by simplifying their investments, accounting and operations.
Investment Operations is the operational backbone of SimCorp One, delivering the post-trade capabilities that ensure investment positions, cash, and transactions are accurate, reconciled, and trusted across the investment lifecycle. The Corporate Actions Product Area develops the technology that powers the processing of corporate action events for some of the world's leading investment managers - driving automation, reducing operational risk, and ensuring accurate investment operations at scale.
We are building a unified cloud-native application that combines the right capabilities for the operations persona, with tight integration into the broader SimCorp One ecosystem via SimCorp One Action Centre (for smart AI-powered notifications).

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Leading 1-2 teams of Software Engineers within the Investment Operations Corporate Actions Product Area, with responsibility for staffing and team development.
Working closely with Product Management to understand and refine the customer outcomes that you and your teams are responsible for delivering.
Leading the day-to-day work of the scrum teams and having responsibility for both the short-term business deliverables and the long-term improvements.
Collaborating with other engineering leaders on improvements within the Corporate Actions Product Area and beyond, such as product quality, security, delivery, system performance, etc...
Providing input to the strategic direction of the product areas.
As an Engineering Manager, you will be a part of a team of 4-5 Engineering Managers and report to the Director of Engineering.
WHAT WE VALUE
You have a deep software engineering expertise and understand how to design and evolve complex systems
You have 4+ years' experience leading software engineers.
You bring a strong software engineering foundation and can coach engineers on architecture, system design, quality engineering, AI-assisted development, observability, performance, and operational excellence while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
You build a collaborative and open culture.
You work effectively across a large, international organisation and at various levels.
You take pride in delivering sound software solutions to clients.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Experience with .NET ecosystem (C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs) in building scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
Understanding of web application architecture, including RESTful services, microservices / modular monolith patterns, and event-driven systems.
Understanding of modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar (Angular preferred), with an ability to guide teams on front-end integration patterns.
Understanding in cloud-native design principles, CI/CD pipelines, observability, resilience, and scalability.
Familiarity of software engineering practices - secure coding, performance optimization and distributed system design.
Familiarity with data storage technologies (SQL Server, NoSQL, caching strategies)
Understanding of AI-assisted software development and modern engineering productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot), with the ability to help teams responsibly adopt AI capabilities
Nice to Have
Exposure to financial systems / capital markets platforms or high-volume transactional systems.
Experience with frontend micro-frontend (MFE) architectures
Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS architectures and platform engineering concepts.
