WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
We are looking for a Consultant to join our Data Management Service Line within the Global Data Management Practice team. Our Data Management Core (Gain) solutions enable SimCorp clients to manage their data portfolio end to end and integrate with all kinds of financial market data sources and technologies to drive business operations.
The management of Corporate Actions Data entails domain specific knowledge and experience to being able to guide project implementation work and help driving product and standardization work accross our client community.
You will be working in an agile team which is responsible for implementing the connectivity to internal and external data sources for and together with our clients. After the technical integration, the data needs to follow a quality enhancement process using SimCorp Data Management Core modules like Security Master, Market Data or Corporate Actions. Once the data quality is verified it will be used to manage the complete spectrum of lifecycle events of financial instruments, from plain vanilla equity and fixed income instruments to complex OTC derivatives.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Analyze back office and IT processes related to Data Management in respect to the product capabilites and technologies
Build, deliver and test configuration work in aspects of SimCorp Data Management based on client requirements
Conduct workshops to explore client requirements working with clients and SimCorp’s team to help capture, define and suggest the most adapted solution;
Collaborate with clients throughout the project timeline
Provide input to the product roadmap
Provide functional input and understanding to technical and operation colleagues
Advise on process improvements through better use of Simcorp Data Management and contribute to improve and document best practices for implementations.
Constantly expand your knowledge of SimCorp Data Management and the clients’ business in order to ensure that clients get the optimal value/outcome out of their product usage
Contribute to the knowledge sharing within service line projects and tasks
Contribute to improving best practices for implementation processes and promote topics across projects
Participate in know-how exchange with colleagues on an international level
WHAT WE VALUE
Several years of experience in Corporate Action operations functions
Experience with SWIFT Corporate Actions related Message types
Some experience with market data vendors like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, SIX etc. would be of advantage
You are familiar with the processes at asset managers, insurance companies and banks
Foundational knowledge in a basic SQL and reporting scripting technology and the ability to understand configurations
Experience with working in an agile way and a continuous improvement mindset
Experience working in an international setting with people from many different cultures
High organizational skills and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team
Good communication and consulting skills and a high degree of commercial awareness, customer orientation and quality consciousness
The ability to communicate clearly across disciplines, with engineers, business experts, and stakeholders alike
A bias toward action and ownership, and low tolerance for unnecessary complexity
Interest in coaching, helping define functional direction, and growing into broader responsibilities
Tools & technology: Data Managmenent Core (Gain), Office, SQL, XML/JSON, SFTP, AI supported work
