We’re looking for team members who align with our values, mission and goals – while also meeting the minimum qualifications below. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Typically 2+ years of related experience.
Basic understanding of general best shop practices including PPE and shop safety requirements.
Ability to perform basic equipment setup and maintenance activities and display general mechanical aptitude and hand tool competency.
Able to use precision measurement tools and fabricate fixtures for flight and non-flight assemblies.
Demonstrated ability implementing 5S, FOD and ESD awareness.
Certification: Machinist certification or related certification.
Familiarity with Laser Trackers, portable CMM arm, or laser scanners.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or toolmaking environment.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Solid understanding of toolmaking processes and techniques.
Proficient in the interpretation of technical drawings and blueprints, including GD&T principles.
Experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and metrology techniques.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Experience with CAD/CAM software for designing and programming tooling.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling and equipment.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Strong understanding of dimensional measurement principles.
Experience in basic toolmaking techniques (e.g., drilling, tapping, milling).
Experience using Verisurf software.
