Research & Insight- Business Intelligence

About the team

The candidate will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end operational backbone of the Research & Insight team. This includes managing participant recruitment, coordinating research logistics, maintaining research infrastructure, and ensuring studies run smoothly across Shopee & other Sea Group entities.

What you'll do

• Manage end-to-end participant recruitment for qualitative and quantitative studies, including screening, scheduling, and coordination
• Maintain and grow a research participant panel across relevant user segments
• Coordinate research logistics including venue booking, consent forms, incentive distribution, and session facilitation support
• Leverage and expand a personal freelancer network to source on-demand research support (e.g. moderators, translators, field interviewers, note-takers) as needed
• Liaise with external vendors, recruitment agencies, and internal teams to ensure studies are delivered on time and within budget
• Support researchers in setting up and programming surveys on research platforms
• Track and report on recruitment progress, study timelines, and operational metrics
• Maintain research ops documentation, SOPs, and process templates to drive consistency across the team
• Handle incentive and honorarium processing in compliance with internal policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field; reputable university will be an advantage
• Min 1 year of experience in research operations, project coordination, or a related role in a market research company, UX research team, or tech/e-commerce company
• Hands-on experience with participant recruitment and research panel management
• Having an existing personal network of freelancers (e.g. moderators, translators, note-takers, field interviewers) will be a strong advantage
• Experience with research platforms and participant recruitment tools (e.g., Qualtrics, UserTesting, Respondent.io, SurveyMonkey, or similar)
• Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets for tracking recruitment pipelines, incentive management, and project timelines
• Familiarity with survey tools and basic survey logic/programming
• Experience with vendor or agency coordination will be an advantage
