Process Automation Engineer, Business Intelligence

About the team

The BI team plays a critical role in supporting close-loop data-driven business decisions. For Business

Technologies in particular, the work entails providing solutions to the gaps in the working systems of

different departments within Shopee. The Business Technologies Team involves itself in internal,

commercial and operations teams to provide much needed remedies in long-term compounding

concerns which could be in the form of creating automations, web portals, api connections,

applications, etc.

What you'll do

● Writing and testing code, debugging programs, and integrating applications with third-party

web services.

● Coordinate with other business teams to understand user requirements and provide technical

solutions.

● Develop scalable back-end components to improve application performance.

● Design and integrate user-facing elements into applications.

● Improve functionality of existing systems.

● Learn and implement different technologies that best suits business needs.

Requirements

● Has a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any

relevant study

● Ideally with at least one (1) year relevant work experience

● Excellent Python skills

● Knowledge in cloud-based development, SQL, or MS Excel is a plus

● Ability to write effective and scalable code

● Ability to assess and prioritize feature requests in a fast paced environment

● Willing to stay updated with and knowledgeable of new technologies

● Detail-oriented and has proven project management skills

● Excellent communication skills

● Has a team-oriented mindset

● Flexible to work long hours on occasion
