Position Summary:
Samsung is seeking a Director of Integrated Retail Planning to lead connected planning across the Samsung Experience Store (SES) business. This role will own demand planning, inventory allocation, promotional planning, and financial planning across the SES store network, creating one coordinated view of the business rather than managing these functions in separate silos.
The Director will partner closely with Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Corporate Finance, Product teams, and Samsung's global retail organization to align product demand, inventory, financial targets, and business priorities. As the SES footprint expands, this leader will be responsible for building the scalable processes, tools, and team capabilities required to support continued growth. The role will initially lead a team of two.
Key Responsibilities:
Own demand forecasting across stores, categories, and products, incorporating product launches, promotions, seasonality, and sales trends.
Lead inventory allocation and replenishment strategies to improve product availability, sell-through, inventory productivity, and working capital.
Own financial and demand planning for promotional activity, including pre-event modeling and post-event performance analysis.
Develop integrated plans that connect sales, margin, expenses, product demand, inventory, and promotional activity into a single operating view.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial performance management for the SES business.
Monitor business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to Retail and Finance leadership.
Develop store and portfolio-level reporting across sales, profitability, inventory, forecast accuracy, and other key performance indicators.
Partner with Supply Chain and Product teams to align demand forecasts with inventory and supply plans.
Build scalable planning processes and governance to support continued expansion of the SES store network.
Partner with Corporate Finance and Samsung's global retail organization to align SES plans with broader financial and strategic priorities.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing planning team as the organization grows.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in retail planning, demand planning, merchandise planning, or integrated business planning, with demonstrated financial management and P&L ownership.
Proven track record leading cross-functional planning processes across Retail, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product teams in a matrixed organization.
Deep expertise in demand forecasting, inventory planning, promotional planning, and allocation strategy within a multi-location retail environment.
Strong financial acumen including retail P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and working capital optimization.
Experience building or scaling planning capabilities, processes, and tools, ideally within a high-growth or expanding retail operation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial and operational data into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
Experience managing and developing planning teams with a track record of growing organizational capability over time.
