What You Will Do:
Hot Section Module Center - North (HSMC-N) is seeking a highly motivated cell leader who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment to support our fabrication and assembly business unit. You will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost reduction. In conjunction to daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department’s success. This role reports to the Business Unit Leader and will be supporting 2nd shift operations. Typical working hours are 2:30 PM – 12:AM, Monday – Friday. Training is available and may be required on our 1st shift for up to 3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide directions to skilled bargaining unit employees.
Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts.
Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, and cost reduction.
Perform daily supervisor responsibilities including project management, effective communication and execution with support group members.
Establish work schedules taking into account for customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities.
Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes.
Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and continuous improvement.
Understanding and ability to drive quality and customer satisfaction through our CORE operating system (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence).
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience with specialized knowledge of operational practices or shop environment experience,
OR an Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience,
OR in lieu of degree, a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
2+ years of personnel management experience, particularly within a union workforce environment.
Proven ability to lead mentoring, coaching, developing talent and motivate teams to achieve business goals.
Working knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/Six Sigma, QCPC and RCCA).
Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, and MS Office Suite.
Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
