Join our team as a Sr. Product Quality Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and excellence of our cutting-edge products. In this dynamic position, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement world-class quality control systems, drive proactive strategies, and lead initiatives using advanced methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, RCCA, and UPPAP. What You Will Do:
- Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products.
- Working with product design and specification, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.
- Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
- Identifies and manages risk in product development primarily utilizing and driving UPPAP core elements (e.g., PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).
- Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
- Performs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
- Ensures all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance.
- Designs and implements product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.
- Responsible for both Program and Product Quality Engineering.
- Responsible for development of new inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.
- Position may include occasional travel to the United States, as required by business needs, and might require obtaining a visa.
- Requires proficiency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate across diverse teams, deliver presentations, lead meetings, and facilitate discussions with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment on business objectives.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial or Mechatronic Engineering and minimum 5 years of experience on related field.
- Application of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies, as well as advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, advanced formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH), data analysis tools (e.g., Power Query, Power Pivot), macros/VBA, and creating interactive dashboards for reporting.
- Proficient understanding and application of GD&T principles.
- Proficient Conversational and written English required.
- Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) Tools, including methodologies such as Ishikawa (Fishbone Diagram), 5 Whys, and other problem-solving techniques to identify and address root causes effectively.
