We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to integrate software developed in C++, C and Java on hardware operating RedHat and Windows all within a Layer3 network. In this position, you will be responsible for providing practical solutions to difficult technical software problems. You can expect to support multiple programs and multiple platforms within a software product line. Software Engineering positions include working on a variety of different tasks including implementing Operating System (OS) level configurations to support applications and cyber requirements. A person who is successful in this role understands and utilizes agile software development methods, automation, and continuous integration.
This position is on-site in Marlborough Massachusetts. Occasional travel will be expected to stakeholder sites.
What You Will Do
Support and improvement of our DevSecOps Pipeline. This role requires passion to drive improvement via test automation, creative solutions and elimination of non-value steps.
Handle emergency situations that stop the pipeline and address quickly and efficiently.
Collaborative with engineers of all levels.
Debug and correct stability issues in our many software baselines.
Configure and install Operating Systems (RHEL).
Configure and install Network Switches (Dell, Cisco, etc.)
Configure and install other network devices responsible for providing program system requirements (NAS devices, terminal servers, etc.)
Perform integration and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools that run on a Linux operating system.
Maintenance and enhancement of the tooling infrastructure.
Possible opportunities to travel domestically and internationally.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Experience with scripting languages (E.g. Perl, Python, Bash).
Experience with ClearCase, Git or other configuration management tools.
Experience with configuring, deploying and maintaining Linux operating systems.
Experience developing software using C++, C and Java.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with DevSecOps and test automation using Jenkins and Grafana for virtualization.
Experience with configuration of network devices.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with automated Windows setup, deployment and maintenance.
Experience with hardening Windows environments.
Experience with hardening RedHat Linux environments.
Experience with virtualization.
Experience with integrating windows environments with monitoring solutions such as Splunk and McAfee TACC.
Experience with DISM, PowerShell, .Net, Bash, etc.
Experience with RedHat IDM.
Experience with RedHat Linux system administration.
Experience with Collaborator or other source code review tool.
Experience with Coverity or other static analysis tools.
Experience with GIT, Jira, Artifactory, BitBucket, Coverity, Grafana.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
