Department: Quality
Key Responsibilities:
Process & Product Quality:
- Monitor product quality on Thermocouple and Harness production lines.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with internal specifications and standards.
- Quality Tools & Analysis:
- Support basic root cause analysis for quality issues using tools like 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, etc.
- Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
- System & Documentation:
- Assist in First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
- Maintain and update quality records in compliance with AS9100D and internal quality systems.
- Audit & Compliance Support:
- Support internal quality audits and preparations for external audits (e.g., NADCAP, AS9100).
- Help in tracking quality KPIs and supporting improvement actions as directed.
- Customer & Team Interaction:
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, design, supply chain) to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Support responses to customer complaints and non-conformances.
- NDT Support:
- Assist in performing basic Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques (preferably radiographic).
- Support in interpreting and documenting test results under supervision of senior NDT engineers or certified personnel.
- Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of aviation-grade components, preferred thermocouples and harnesses.
- Exposure to NADCAP audit process (even as a participant or support staff).
- Good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with statistical quality tools like control charts, FMEA, or capability analysis is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/production quality role
- NDT Level I or II (Radiographic Testing preferred) & Basic understanding or exposure to RSO / AERB guidelines is a plus (Note: Candidates without these certifications are welcome to apply. The company will provide support and training for NDT and RSO certification to suitable candidates. A strong interest and willingness to develop in these technical areas is expected.
