Raytheon’s Mission Capability Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM is seeking a Systems Engineering Site Lead to join our team. At MCVC we plan and conduct complex integrated field tests, provide system integration and sell-off, and provide operational expertise to a variety of missile and radar programs. The Site Lead will be responsible for a test site in support of the AN/TPY-2 program. The Site Lead will require active participation with the Raytheon program leadership team and WSMR Material Test Directorate as well as supporting local test events and daily site operations. The candidate is expected to embrace MCVC goals and initiatives, monitor team dynamics, collaborate with programs and site leadership on staffing, provide employee feedback and be actively involved in daily program operations. This role serves as the primary on-site leader coordinating test execution, personnel, customer engagement, logistics, and system readiness in support of defense and aerospace programs.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, systems integration experience, and the ability to manage complex test events in dynamic environments while ensuring compliance with customer, program, and regulatory requirements. This is an onsite role located at WSMR in White Sands, NM.
What You Will Do
Lead day-to-day operations at assigned test sites supporting radar, sensor, communications, or integrated defense systems testing.
Coordinate test planning, setup, execution, troubleshooting, and post-test activities across multidisciplinary teams.
Serve as the primary interface between program leadership, engineering teams, government customers, range personnel, and subcontractors.
Ensure all Site and test activities comply with safety, security, environmental, and operational procedures.
Manage site logistics including equipment readiness, transportation, calibration, scheduling, and maintenance activities.
Oversee installation, integration, and verification of test assets and support equipment.
Track and report test status, risks, deficiencies, and corrective actions to program management.
Develop and maintain test schedules, resource plans, and operational procedures.
Mentor and supervise site personnel, technicians, and support staff.
Work in remote/hazardous locations in proximity to energized equipment, radar radiation, and unexploded ordnance environments.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
Experience leading complex field or range integration & test activities for radar, communications, or weapons systems.
Experience working in classified or secure environments.
Qualifications We Prefer
Prior military or defense industry test range experience.
Strong understanding of systems engineering and test methodologies with proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience supporting DoD developmental test (DT) and operational test (OT) events.
Familiarity with missile systems, air defense systems, or command-and-control platforms.
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Knowledge of range safety and environmental compliance requirements.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
