The Senior Manager, Transformation & People Insights leads advanced analytics and AI-enabled transformation for HR People Analytics. This role turns complex workforce data into clear, actionable insights through scalable analytics solutions, executive-ready visualizations and business intelligence products outside of Workday.
The role partners across People Analytics, HR Technology, HR Business Partners, Talent, Compensation, Finance and business leaders to identify high-value workforce questions and translate them into trusted analytics, dashboards, models and recommendations that improve decision-making and stakeholder experience.
The ideal candidate brings technical depth in Workday data, SQL, Python, statistical methods, AI-enabled analytics and visualization design, with the judgment to apply strong data governance, privacy, quality controls and responsible AI practices. The role manages 1 individual contributor and is accountable for communicating complex findings in simple, practical language for senior leaders and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Lead advanced analytics and AI-enabled transformation initiatives within People Analytics to improve insight generation, decision support, automation and stakeholder experience
Own visualization standards and user experience for dashboards and business intelligence products that translate complex data into clear, actionable business narratives
Lead the design, build and delivery of dashboards and insight products outside of Workday using business intelligence tools such as Qlik, ThoughtSpot or similar platforms
Manage 1 individual contributor responsible for analytics, visualization, dashboard development or insight product support
Partner with HR and business stakeholders to define workforce questions, prioritize analytics needs and translate findings into practical recommendations
Apply advanced analytics methods, statistical theory, research design and measurement modeling to evaluate workforce trends, business outcomes, risks and opportunities
Use SQL, Python and related analytical tools to extract, transform, analyze and model data from Workday and other enterprise data sources
Develop predictive, diagnostic and descriptive analytics that support strategic workforce planning, talent strategy, organizational effectiveness and HR transformation
Partner with Workday reporting, HR Technology and data governance teams to ensure analytics solutions use trusted data, clear definitions, appropriate access controls and privacy safeguards
Communicate analytical findings, methods, assumptions and recommendations in clear, practical language for senior leaders and business stakeholders
Provide coaching, prioritization guidance and development support to the individual contributor aligned to the role
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of Workday HCM data, reporting structures, business objects and HR data dependencies
Advanced SQL experience, including querying, joining, transforming and validating complex datasets
Python experience for data analysis, automation, modeling or advanced analytics use cases
Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools outside of Workday, such as Qlik, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Power BI, Visier or similar platforms
Strong background in statistical theory, research methodology, measurement modeling and advanced analytics methods
Ability to design executive dashboards, self-service analytics tools and insight products that convert complex data into clear actions and business narratives
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of HR data, workforce analytics, people strategy and business intelligence
Ability to connect advanced analytics and AI opportunities to business priorities and translate data into practical recommendations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
Strong visualization design capability, including dashboard layout, user experience, metric storytelling and executive-level insight delivery outside of Workday
Ability to apply research discipline, statistical rigor and measurement design to workforce questions
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain AI, analytics and technical concepts in simple business language
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, build trusted partnerships and drive adoption of analytics products
Strong planning and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple analytics initiatives in a dynamic environment
Ability to coach and develop talent while setting clear expectations for delivery, quality and stakeholder impact
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
Advanced degree preferred in a quantitative, research, analytics or business discipline
10 to 15 years of general experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science, HR analytics, workforce analytics, transformation or related disciplines preferred
3 to 6 years of managerial or people leadership experience preferred, including direct or matrixed leadership of analytics resources
Experience leading advanced analytics, AI-enabled transformation, visualization roadmap development or insight product delivery preferred
Experience working with Workday data and HR systems required
Experience using SQL, Python, BI platforms and advanced analytics methods required
