Director, Product Management – Directo-to-Patient Pharmacy Platform
Prescryptive HealthWho is Prescryptive?
Prescryptive is the healthcare technology company enabling the direct access marketplace for prescription drugs. Our platform aligns incentives so affordability, choice, and patient access become the natural outcome of a functioning system.
We operate one of the few platforms in healthcare that functions as both an ePrescription network and an adjudication engine — neutral infrastructure that pharmaceutical manufacturers, PBMs, health systems, and pharmacies can build on. Our Direct-to-Patient platform powers prescription access programs at scale, and we are expanding our manufacturer partner portfolio.
About the Role
We are hiring a Director, Product Management — Direct-to-Patient Pharmacy Platform to own the product strategy and roadmap for Prescryptive’s Direct-to-Patient platform.
This is a senior individual contributor product leadership role for someone who understands how prescriptions actually move through the U.S. healthcare system — from prescriber initiation to ePrescription routing, benefit verification, adjudication, pharmacy fulfillment, and patient access.
This is not a traditional “write user stories and groom the backlog” product role. You will shape platform strategy, translate complex manufacturer and pharmacy requirements into scalable product capabilities, and work across commercial, engineering, pharmacy operations, compliance, and external partner teams.
You will report to the SVP of Digital Prescription Services and work regularly with manufacturer partners, pharmacy networks, integration partners, and Prescryptive’s executive leadership team.
Why This Role Matters
Pharmaceutical access is changing quickly. Manufacturers are looking for new ways to connect patients to therapy, reduce friction, improve affordability, and create more direct, data-informed access models.
Prescryptive is building the infrastructure to support that shift.
In this role, you will help define a platform category — not simply optimize an existing workflow. You will work on a live platform already processing tens of thousands of prescription transactions daily, with direct exposure to senior commercial and manufacturer stakeholders.
The right person will have the opportunity to shape how Direct-to-Patient prescription access works across manufacturers, pharmacies, prescribers, and patients.
What You’ll Own
Product strategy for the Direct-to-Patient platformDefine and drive the roadmap for Prescryptive’s Direct-to-Patient platform, balancing scalable shared infrastructure with the configurability required by different manufacturer programs, pharmacy partners, and patient access models.
Prescription workflow and platform design
Own product definition across the prescription lifecycle, including ePrescription initiation, NCPDP SCRIPT messaging, prescription routing, benefit verification, prior authorization, adjudication, patient experience workflows, pharmacy selection, and fulfillment.
Manufacturer program translation
Partner with commercial and manufacturer-facing teams to turn complex market access, benefit design, channel strategy, and patient support requirements into durable platform capabilities.
Configurable product architecture
Help determine what should be standardized, what should be configurable, and where program-specific customization creates value or unnecessary complexity.
Partner and ecosystem navigation
Serve as a product counterpart to ePrescribing networks, pharmacy partners, PBM integrations, technology vendors, and service providers. Understand where standards constrain the product and where Prescryptive can differentiate.
Cross-functional execution
Drive clarity and alignment across engineering, pharmacy operations, compliance, customer success, and commercial teams. Translate strategic product intent into clear requirements without losing important operational or technical detail.
Data-informed product decisions
Use transaction volume, conversion data, pharmacy performance, patient drop-off, operational metrics, and program performance reporting to inform roadmap decisions and improve platform outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of healthcare product management experience, ideally in pharmacy technology, ePrescribing, pharmacy benefit, manufacturer services, patient access, or healthcare platform products.
- Experience operating at a Director-level product scope, including ownership of product strategy, roadmap tradeoffs, executive stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional execution.
- Direct experience with prescription transaction flows. You can explain how a prescription moves from EHR to pharmacy, what happens at each step, where the process breaks, and what levers improve outcomes.
- Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas:
- ePrescribing / NCPDP SCRIPT
- Pharmacy benefit adjudication
- Pharmacy operations
- Real-time benefit verification
- Prior authorization
- Manufacturer access programs
- Hub services or patient support programs
- Specialty or retail pharmacy workflows
- Experience building or managing configurable platform products, not just one-off client implementations.
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to connect product capabilities to partner value, revenue potential, operational feasibility, and patient impact.
- Experience working directly with enterprise sales, business development, external partners, or senior commercial stakeholders.
- Strong product discipline, including roadmap development, requirements definition, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and tradeoff management.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity. We are defining a category, and there is not always a clean playbook to follow.
- Strong analytical instincts and the ability to use operational and performance data to guide product decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or inside pharmaceutical manufacturers on patient access, direct-to-patient, hub services, affordability, specialty pharmacy, or market access programs.
- Working knowledge of NCPDP standards, including SCRIPT, Formulary & Benefit, RTPB, and/or prior authorization workflows.
- Experience with pharmacy networks, PBMs, plan design, formulary management, copay assistance, or manufacturer-sponsored access models.
- Prior experience in a growth-stage company where you operated across strategy, execution, customer/partner engagement, and internal alignment.
- Familiarity with GLP-1, specialty pharmacy, or other high-demand therapeutic market dynamics.
Who Will Thrive Here
You may be a strong fit if you are the kind of product leader who can zoom out to define platform strategy, then zoom in far enough to understand the actual prescription workflow, transaction logic, operational constraints, and user experience.
You are comfortable with complexity, but you do not create unnecessary complexity. You can work with commercial leaders, engineers, pharmacists, compliance partners, and external stakeholders — and translate across all of them.
You are energized by building infrastructure in a market that is changing quickly. You want to shape a platform, not just manage a backlog.
Because Prescryptive is an early-stage company, this role requires both strategic range and tactical agility. You will need to help define the product direction, make smart tradeoffs, align stakeholders, and stay close enough to the work to ensure that what we build can actually operate in the real world.
What We Offer
- The opportunity to grow alongside an early-stage company working to change a large, complex, and highly consequential industry
- Flexible time off, including 12 paid holidays
- 401(k) match
- 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision premiums
- Company contribution to Health Savings Account
- Stock options
