Job Description Summary
We have an opening for an Intern (Practice Management Dept) in our New York City office.
Job Description
In this capacity, the Intern (Practice Management) will:
- Assist with associate work allocation assignment system (preparing first drafts of daily and weekly hours reports that our practice groups require, preparing bespoke hours reports, etc.);
- Assist with event logistics for practice group meetings and related social events (prepare and track invitations; confirm catering orders, room setup, partner with in-house support services to coordinate materials etc.); and
- Assist with other projects and reports as needed, including: tracking and updating post-closing deliverables (with the support of paralegals) and tracking active and pipeline deals in the Corporate dept.
Proficiencies:
- Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task;
- Must have positive attitude and be a team player;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Microsoft Excel;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or be a recent graduate; and
- Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment (preferred).
The hourly wage that we expect to pay for this position is $20.00 per hour.
