The Vice President will contribute within a cross functional investment framework, working fluidly between the Real Estate Debt and ABF teams and participating in joint deal teams as opportunities warrant. The individual will contribute to the evaluation of investment opportunities, contributing to sourcing, diligence, and underwriting efforts for ABF funds as it relates to real estate transactions.
Key responsibilities include:
• Evaluate new and existing investments through credit analysis, cash flow modeling, collateral review, and relative value analysis.
• Conduct market and collateral research to support investment decisions.
• Structure, execute, and manage private credit investments and monitor portfolio risk.
• Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and other investment committee materials.
• Develop and enhance analytical tools for structured real estate credit investing.
• Partner with the Asset-Backed Finance team and other investment strategies on underwriting and portfolio management.
• Coordinate with financing providers, third-party technology partners, and internal stakeholders to support investment activities.
• Support client communications and marketing initiatives, as needed.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of residential credit investment experience at an asset management firm or investment bank.
• Strong experience analyzing non-agency RMBS and structured credit investments.
• Demonstrated expertise in underwriting, valuation, and financial modeling.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg, Intex, CoreLogic, and non-agency mortgage datasets.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in math/science strongly preferred.
Base Salary Range
$250,000-$275,000
In addition to a competitive base salary, individuals will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
