Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Integration and Test Engineer - Level 3/4 based out of Aurora, CO.
Position Overview:
- Integrate and regression-test new software baselines in operational environments, troubleshooting installation and integration issues using tools such as GitLab, Rancher, Kubernetes, and Nexus.
- Maintain clear installation, integration, and test documentation in Confluence to support team-wide knowledge sharing.
- Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive integration, regression, and system test plans, procedures, and schedules, accounting for technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Review and evaluate system and subsystem requirements for testability; synthesize customer contractual needs into test solutions and ensure completeness of the overall test program.
- Perform peer reviews of test procedures, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Version Description Documents (VDDs), Ground Change Requests (GCRs), and related engineering artifacts.
- Coordinate integrated and end-to-end testing activities with software developers, systems engineers, and external mission partners.
- Analyze test results and system performance; prepare formal test reports and system-level evaluations that verify and validate requirements.
- Author comprehensive discrepancy/defect reports in JIRA, assist in investigating and resolving issues, and develop troubleshooting procedures and workaround documentation.
- Work independently with minimal direction while maintaining strong organization and attention to detail in all integration and test activities.
This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below.
This requisition may be filled as either a Level 3 or Level 4.
Basic Qualifications for a Systems Integration Engineer - Level 3:
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraph examination up to the Full Scope level
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 1 years of relevant experience with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience ma be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to utilize and manage tools such as Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word),
- Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing
- Key Skills for Writing Test Procedure Documentation
- Familiar with both Window and Linux environments
- Experience developing and executing test plans, procedures, and posttest reports, including functional testing and checkout.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot anomalous behavior in hardware and software systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding Docker concepts with use of Kubernetes clusters and Rancher
- Experience with Helm/ Helmfile
- Use of Git for source code management
- Ability to provide E2 support by fielding calls from operations, deployment and external mission partner for system operational issues. Rapidly, resolve any issues that arise and escalate to support personnel, i.e. System Administrator or RF engineers; if need.
Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
