The Role:
Supporting the RAAF's C-27J Spartan fleet, you'll work alongside the Operations Manager to help lead Base Maintenance operations.
This is a technical leadership role with responsibility for maintenance planning, scheduling, maintenance control and aircraft availability outcomes. You'll lead the teams that translate maintenance demand into executable plans, balancing workforce capacity, resources and operational priorities to keep the program moving.
Acting as the operational 2IC to the Operations Manager, you'll have influence across workforce planning, resource forecasting, operational reporting and continuous improvement while helping guide responses to emerging maintenance priorities and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.
Key Responsibilities
About You
You understand the realities of aircraft maintenance and what it takes to turn a maintenance plan into an operational outcome.
You may come from maintenance planning, maintenance control, production planning, fleet management or aviation operations leadership and have developed your career balancing resources, schedules and customer expectations in a complex environment.
You're a leader who sees the bigger picture. Rather than being hands-on with the tools, you enjoy solving operational problems, understanding impacts to aircraft availability and helping teams make informed decisions when priorities change.
This role is ideal for someone looking to step beyond maintenance planning or maintenance control into a broader operational leadership position with influence across workforce planning, resource management and aircraft availability.
You'll bring:
An NV1 Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one, is required.
