Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst / Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst. This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems sector in San Diego, CA.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Business Management Organization.

Roles and Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Sets up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.

• Coordinates financial profitability rollup (return on sales, return on cost).

• Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.

• Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.

• Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.

• Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.

• Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.

• Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (A01) or Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (A02)

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (A01):

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by June 2026

• Be majoring in or having majored in a Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.

• Active DOD Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) adjudicated within the last 5 years as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).  Final approved U.S. Government Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access is required to start.

Basic Qualifications for an Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (A02): A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or is completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of program cost and schedule control analyst experience by June 2026.

• Be majoring in or having majored in a Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.

• Active DOD Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) adjudicated within the last 5 years as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).  Final approved U.S. Government Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access is required to start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher

• Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork, capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

Pay Range

• Associate Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (A01): $61,200 to $91,800

• Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (A02): $73,900 to $110,900

Secondary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
