Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Sector is seeking Computer Systems Analysis Manager 2 in the Edwards AFB area ready to ensure the security, reliability, and availability of systems/platforms in support of our Nation's defense.
This position is an Information Technology/Systems Management role leading teams comprised of PC Desktop Technicians, System Administrators, and Network Engineers working across multiple enterprises, programs, and efforts. The candidate must demonstrate a broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities. The candidate must have the ability to collaborate within and across teams to accomplish goals and be committed to ethics, integrity, and innovation while challenging traditional ways of doing business. Additionally, excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must to be able to facilitate successful engagement with internal and external customers.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading a team performing direct work on Information Systems.
- Demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
- Using good judgement to pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
- Working closely with program-assigned technicians, systems engineers, and management in order ensure the computer systems and software stays in a high state of readiness.
- Maintaining a high quality of system efficiency.
- Overseeing and managing the quality and timeliness of the organization’s deliverables and identifying and remediating potential issues before they become problems.
- Creating work assignments for local team.
- The successful candidate will have Functional and Technical Manager duties.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate degree and 7 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR Master's degree with 3 years of management experience; 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree.
- Active DOD Secret clearance.
- Must have the ability to maintain, access to Special Access Programs as a condition of continued employment.
- IAM Level I certification (ex: Security+ CE) or greater.
- Experience with Microsoft Server/software.
- Experience with virtualization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Information Technology discipline
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
- Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments
- Database technologies
- Azure experience
- Demonstrate strong team skills
- Prior experience in information systems management
- Proven leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate exemplary professionalism and ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
- Demonstrated ability to build diverse/inclusive teams with engaged team members
- Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills, and excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
- Previous experience leading a team of 5-12 employees with a record of on-time performance
- Time management and organizational skills to prioritize across concurrent program and functional responsibilities
Primary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
