Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer – DevOps to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  This position will be located onsite in Melbourne, Florida.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work in an innovative environment, on significantly diverse assignments, and in collaborative team settings across all levels
• Coordinate program builds and delivery pipelines
• Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders on build and delivery schedule
• Automate and simply the build and delivery process

Basic Qualifications for a Software Engineer (level 2):

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s  degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience;
• Demonstrated Professional Experience with Agile Framework within the last 2 years.
• Demonstrated Professional Experience developing software and scripts in C++, C# Java AND/OR Python for Safety/Mission-Critical applications/Systems within the last 2 years.
• Demonstrated Professional Experience with Software Change Control, Change Management, and CI/CD tools such as: Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo), AND/OR GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes within the last 2 years.
• Must have an active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Software Engineer (level 3):

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 years of related engineering experience.
• Demonstrated Professional Experience with Agile Framework within the last 3 years.
• Demonstrated Professional Experience developing software and scripts in C++, C# Java AND/OR Python for Safety/Mission-Critical applications/Systems within the last 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications for both a Software Engineer and Principal Software Engineer:

• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork capabilities, strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems
• Current Special Access Program (SAP) access.
• Active DoD Top Secret (in-scope) clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
