Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Logistics Engineer . This position will be located at our Mission Systems sector in Linthicum, MD.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Logistics and Product Support organization. This position seeks an Engineer to perform Logistics Engineering Tasks such as Product Support Analysis, Logistics Product Data generation, Sustainment Planning and execution, and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence design and sustainment strategies for a variety of products supporting US Army, US Air Force, US Navy, US Marine Corps and other customers. Analysis are performed during all phases of a product’s life cycle: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal..
Roles and Responsibilities
• Performing logistics Product Support Analyses (PSA) to identify parts, equipment, activities and skillset necessary to maintain systems and achieve required levels of operational availability.
• Conduct Trade Studies to design sustainment strategies that minimize a system’ logistics footprint while achieving all other system requirements.
• Interacting with team members to interpret Customer needs and requirements.
• Participating in and presenting technical information in team and customer meetings.
• Coordinate with engineers, manufacturing, and customers to collect and exchange data.
• Collect, track and analyses data such as usage rates, operation and maintenance trends, inventory level and other relevant information needed to ensure the sustainability of systems.
• Work with team to identify DMSMS risk, assess impacts, determine appropriate resolutions, and execute solutions.
• Contributing to proposal efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
• Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution
• Be majoring in or having majored Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics or in a STEM-related field
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
• The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
