Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Sr Principal Project Manager, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be full time in the office and located in San Diego, CA (preferred) or Oklahoma City, OK.
Successful candidates will be ready to manage existing procurement, supplier engineering execution, and internal engineering studies for cost and schedule impacts. Expectation is to be able to quickly assimilate to EVMS requirements and work with Global Supply Chain to track incoming material and billing for EVMS reporting and with internal or supplier engineering for status update on studies, ECDs, and managing remaining budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Key aspects include organization and self-drive to gather required information, work with stakeholders, and provide analyses and presentations regarding:
• Hold Control Account Manager authority for reporting status on outstanding networks and work packages pending material/study delivery or work execution
• Aid engineers understanding how shifting delivery dates impacts their overall projects and risk management efforts
• Aid leadership understanding of next-level impact and program impact with help from engineers
• Work with Global Supply Chain to manage outstanding and new procurement/tasking to ensure accurate tracking and consistent update based on latest information from suppliers and/or engineers
• Decompose and track cost/schedule changes into how they impact our team

Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Management:
• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience in a professional environment or Master’s degree 6 years of in a professional environment.
• Must have advanced proficiency with MS Excel (extensive formula calculations, pivot tables/charts, macros, etc.)
• Must have an active US Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret, Special Access Program (SAP), and SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.
• Willing and able to travel up to 25%.
• US Citizenship is a requirement for employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with SAP S4
• Current active in-scope DOD Top Secret Clearance with special access.
• Previous project management experience.
• Experience with proactive management of DMSMS.
• Familiarity with US Government maintenance concepts.
Primary Level Salary Range: $96,200.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
