The Semiconductor Materials group of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Microelectronics Technician 2 in our molecular-beam epitaxy (MBE) lab for our Space Park Foundry (SPF) located in Manhattan Beach, California. We design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers, as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman’s SPF semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, and Indium Phosphide) and providing leading-edge technology development in electronics. Responsibilities:

• Use characterization systems to analyze wafers for Engineering review.

• Operate MBE system(s).

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of additional work experience

• Able to lift 30-40 pounds

• Ability to use Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Outlook, and Word).

• Semiconductor wafer handling experience.

• US Citizenship Required.

Preferred Qualifications:

•  Cleanroom experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $93,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
