Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Global PMO to support large-scale, multi-regional technology initiatives within the IT division of a leading global banking organization. This role will partner closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders to drive project governance, reporting, risk management, and cross-functional coordination across global regions, including Head Office (Tokyo), EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
The ideal candidate will possess strong project management fundamentals, exceptional communication skills, and experience supporting complex international projects. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact strategic initiatives while collaborating with senior stakeholders across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide PMO support for global, multi-regional technology projects, ensuring successful project execution and delivery.
- Partner with Project Managers to track project milestones, timelines, deliverables, and overall progress.
- Monitor and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and action items, providing timely escalation when necessary.
- Identify and coordinate interdependencies across multiple projects to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
- Develop and maintain project status reports, dashboards, scorecards, and governance materials for management review.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders across Head Office (Tokyo), EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
- Support project governance activities, including steering committee meetings, status reviews, and executive reporting.
- Ensure adherence to project management standards, methodologies, and organizational governance requirements.
- Assist in maintaining project documentation and ensuring transparency across project portfolios.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Project Manager, PMO, Project Coordinator, or related role within IT or technology organizations.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices, including:
- Risk Management
- Issue Management
- Dependency Management
- Status Reporting
- Stakeholder Management
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting global or cross-regional projects within large multinational organizations.
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English (written and spoken).
- Background in the banking or financial services industry.
- Experience using project management and reporting tools such as:
- JIRA
- Microsoft Project
- Power BI
- Microsoft Office Suite

The typical base pay range for this role is as follows:
- New York / New Jersey: $150k-189k
- Non–New York / New Jersey: $128k-160k
depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
