What you'll do:
In the capacity of Associate Digital Channels Product Manager, you will assume a pivotal role in facilitating the execution of advisory mandates spanning a wide array of sectors. Your daily remit will encompass designing advanced financial models for project finance transactions whilst collaborating extensively with colleagues across departments to deliver holistic funding solutions. Direct client engagement will form a significant aspect of your responsibilities—addressing queries, participating in meetings, and ensuring client requirements are met with precision. Beyond reviewing externally sourced models and conducting stress tests alongside deal teams, you will also play an instrumental part in mentoring junior staff members. Your contributions will extend into preparing essential documentation such as information memoranda and supporting authorisation activities throughout internal approval processes. By nurturing robust relationships both internally and externally, you will underpin effective communication channels vital for successful project delivery. The role further necessitates developing an intricate understanding of core systems utilised within the structured finance office so as to respond efficiently to enquiries whilst upholding compliance with regulatory standards. Occasional international travel may be required as part of your professional obligations.
* Design and construct intermediate to complex financial models tailored for project and structured finance transactions, with particular focus on clients within the Japanese Corporate Banking Division for EMEA.
* Respond promptly and thoughtfully to day-to-day queries from clients and other banking institutions regarding financial models, attending meetings to provide expert insights and support.
* Review financial models prepared by clients or other institutions, applying rigorous stress tests in collaboration with deal teams to ensure robust analysis and sound decision-making.
* Mentor and develop junior team members by imparting guidance on model building techniques and best practices within the team environment.
* Collaborate closely with credit function colleagues to coordinate the production of detailed cash flow analysis papers that inform critical investment decisions.
* Liaise with clients at counterpart level to relay specific information, address routine queries, and maintain consistently high standards of customer service.
* Cultivate strong relationships throughout the organisation in order to establish a peer network, gather pertinent information, and promote effective inter-departmental cooperation.
* Produce RORA calculations and swap line calculations at various stages of transaction cycles in support of key decision-making processes.
* Develop a practical understanding of all core systems and procedures within the structured finance office so as to ensure seamless integration with standard systems when responding to enquiries.
* Support the preparation of information memoranda and presentation materials for clients as well as assist in authorisation activities during internal approval processes.

* Demonstrated commercial experience in constructing robust project finance models within banking or comparable financial institutions.
* Proven record in managing end-to-end model build processes for complex transactions involving multiple stakeholders across various functions.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel coupled with comprehensive IT knowledge relevant to financial modelling tasks.
* Thorough understanding of financial accounting principles combined with business awareness and insight into factors influencing project financing performance.
* Exemplary verbal and written communication skills enabling you to foster credible relationships at all organisational levels.
* Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy throughout all aspects of model construction and review processes.
* Capacity to prioritise tasks independently whilst remaining dependable under pressure without direct supervision or oversight.
* Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience is essential; accountancy or finance qualifications would be considered advantageous.

WORK EXPERIENCE
- Experience at Associate level experience in a GTB product management role, having had
> either direct accountability in regional Product Management team accountable for host 2 host channels & swift platforms in particular;
> track record as technical integration / implementation specialist between bank and MNCs, integrating e-banking, host2host and swift from a channels, file formats perspective
- Track record of individual product management for a direct host to host channel & Swift inclusive of supporting technical & functional business requirement documentation, target infrastructure & operating model definition; client mobilisation & scaling up from volumes, value
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Functional / Technical Competencies:
- Strong, technical understanding of European Payments industry (low value, high value, instant payments; interoperability with TFX; industry transformation for ISO standards and reporting changes for MUFG.
- Familiarity with / working fluency across 3rd party specialist ERP/ TMS applications used by MNCs including SAP / S4Hana; Bellin / TIS etc is expected through experience in integration; continuous improvement in new integration points & partners
- Good knowledge of end to end Client Implementation especially integration & testing and how to influence client and MUFGs behavior / infrastructure for increased STP, automation and self-service.
- Interest in current trends and industry developments with regards to digitisation, automation and standardisation of TB solutions, processes and work flow engineering techniques.
