We are looking for a Global Supply Planner to coordinate and optimize our international supplier product flows. In this role, you will analyze forecasts (NET REQUIREMENTS AND NET BOOKED ORDERS), manage raw material allocations to our EMS partners, and balance inventory to support seamless factory operations.
You will act as a vital bridge between Business Operations and global Distribution Centers (DCs), converting high-level demand forecasts into reliable, execution-ready build plans.
EMS & Supplier Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for EMS partners managing Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Video solutions. Dictate production priorities based on negotiated line capacities, ensure alignment, and escalate supply assurance issues when necessary.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the strategic liaison between the Sales team, Business Operations, and global Distribution Centers (DCs) to translate commercial demand plans into actionable factory build plans.
Inventory Optimization & Order Management: Monitor and balance raw material supply to meet production needs while optimizing inventory levels.
Occasionally, purchase orders are required; this is not a primary function of the GSP and involves orders for services or indirect materials. We do not handle raw material purchases here.
Data-Driven Performance Tracking: Utilize ERP/MRP systems to analyze data, forecast material needs, track supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.
Operational Efficiency: Balance cost, quality, and timely delivery across the supply chain by fostering strong supplier relationships and resolving operational bottlenecks proactively.
NPI & Engineering Support: This position facilitates or monitors engineering changes or the introduction of new projects only as a monitor; there is an engineering team dedicated to this as well as program managers who lead it. GSP is only a facilitator, passively monitoring with the EMS and escalating issues if the engineering or supply assurance team needs support. Facilitate the execution of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and support the rollout of New Product Introductions (NPI) as required.
At Motorola Solutions, we offer a people-first culture where your work directly impacts the safety and security of communities, enterprises, and public safety personnel globally. If you are an analytical professional looking to translate complex metrics into operational success, we invite you to join us in our continuous pursuit of building a safer world.
