The Senior Solutions Architect is the technical authority providing overall technical leadership for the project implementation. Works with the customer to understand overall solution needs and the functionality of MSI and third-party applications. Takes ownership of the technical solution from pre and post-sale. Works with the project manager to develop the project deployment schedule. Identifies technical risks for projects and works with the PM on mitigation plans. Identifies customer expectation mismatches regarding product functionality and works with the PM on mitigation plans. Acts as the technical counterpart to the PM in third-party vendor, customer, and internal-facing meetings. Owns project change control as it pertains to the overall technical solution.
Responsibilities involve the integration of programmatic, technical, systems engineering, business, and personnel elements of a project, including:
Understanding the technical requirements, concepts of operation, and architecture of the overall solution. It requires working closely with the Pre- and Post-Sales teams to align the requirements with customer solution needs.
Leading and defending the project's technical and programmatic decisions. It requires identifying customer expectation mismatches and working with the Project Manager to mitigate them.
Tailoring and applying change management and systems engineering processes. Requires working with the customer and engineering teams when implementing solutions including third-party applications.
Assists Project Management in developing and managing costs and schedules by identifying technical risks to the deployment plan and suggesting mitigation options for those risks.
Participating as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager for third-party, customer, and internal meetings.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Technical or Engineering field, an Associate Degree in a technical field; or equivalent experience (6+ years) in delivering Public Safety projects in a technical role or enterprise-level technical deployment projects.
Must be able to obtain necessary security clearance as required by local, state, and federal government contracts which include criminal and financial background investigations.
Excellent presentation skills are required. Must be highly skilled with drawing and diagramming tools (such as MS Visio or similar).
Strong verbal and written skills; fluency in English.
Willing to travel, occasionally up to 30% of the time.
Target Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 USD

Required Skills:
High School diploma, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and Technology.
6+ years of experience in the following areas: Systems Integration, Software Engineering, Product Development, System Test, Systems Support, or Information Technology.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
